Hypnotherapy can help you to quit smoking as a stand-alone strategy.
Hypnotherapy works by targeting the physiological triggers. Addiction is physiological (nicotine cravings and withdrawals symptoms) and psychological (unconscious belief and behaviours). Hypnotherapy targets the psychological triggers and unconscious motivations for smoking such as the urge to light a cigarette after dinner or have it with a drink or with your morning coffee.
During the hypnotherapy session you will be asked to imagine unpleasant outcomes from smoking - such as suffering illness or having difficulty breathing and hypnotherapy may also help you to develop a new mindset towards smoking, training your brain to confront the dangers of cigarettes and support you in breaking addictive habits.
